Lenten Vespers: On the Journey
7:15 pm Wednesdays in Lent

“On the Journey” is the theme for the Wednesday evening worship experiences during Lent. Pastors from New Castle County ELCA congregations will be guest preachers at each worship service. Stories that include the number 40 will be the focus for each week.

Mentioned 146 times in Scripture, the number 40 generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation. The number forty can also represent the length of a generation.
