The Magi Project:
The Twelve Days of Christmas for Hunger

Our annual Magi Project is a way to take the spirit of giving and share with those in our community who are in need.

The Magi Project food collection to benefit the LCS Food Pantry at St. Stephen’s officially takes place during the 12 days of Christmas: December 26-January 6. But we will have collection boxes available in the hallway so that donations can be dropped off during the month of December. This year’s suggested list:

  • 1 box of Raisin Bran (or other cereal)

  • 2 cans of beef stew

  • 3 cans of chili

  • 4 pounds of pasta

  • 5 pasta sauces

  • 6 ramen noodles

  • 7 cans of green beans

  • 8 cans of corn

  • 9 cans of fruit

  • 10 cans of soup

  • 11 mac and cheeses

  • 12 cans of tuna

The entire list of 78 items can be purchased for around $100, or less if you have good couponing skills. However, ANY donations of shelf-stable food for the pantry are welcome.

Hope Lutheran, Zion Lutheran, Good Shepherd Lutheran, Church of the Holy City, Christ Episcopal and Grace United Methodist are also participating in this in-gathering to support our local food pantries.

Food donations are always welcome and can be left at the St. Stephen’s office, Monday-Friday, 9 am -12 pm.
